10+ Must-Have New Mom Services for a New Mom

Must-Have Newborn Apps

I suffered from severe pregnancy brain so during my newborn baby stage, I struggled with keeping track of feedings.  There are a lot of breastfeeding apps available out there but these are what I recommend.

Eat Sleep App by Make Sail, Inc (iOS Version)

A first time mom helped design this app for simplicity and need without the clutter of trying to figure out how to work the entire app.  With this app, you’ll be able to record your baby’s habits like eating, sleeping, and diaper changes.  This is a FREE app available on iOS with in-app purchases.

Baby Nursing App by Sevenlogics, Inc. (iOS Version)

This app is a lot more advanced now then when I used it 4 years ago.  With this app, you’ll also be able to track your newborn’s feeding, diaper changes, and sleep with added features like tracking your baby’s progress, growth, doctor’s visits and more!  This is a FREE app but there are in-app purchases.

Glow Baby Newborn Tracker App by Glow (iOS Version)

Similar to the Baby Nursing App, Glow Baby can tracking your baby’s feedings, sleep, and diaper changes but also has a community of fellow parents.  It also has pediatrician-approved charts and smart insights from your data about your newborn and you can add another person to the account like a spouse or babysitter, to help keep track of your newborn!

Must-Have Parenting Apps

As a new mom, I was nervous about the well-being of my newborn son.  I suffered from postpartum depression and constantly worried about my son.  Unfortunately I couldn’t call my doctor 24/7 about every little thing that my son was doing that I wasn’t sure was normal.  Parenting can be hard but finding advice shouldn’t be!  These two apps below are my favorites and still use them today!

SmartMom App by Social Qnect, LLC (iOS Version)

SmartMom App is an online social parenting advice community that helped me answer so many questions!  Of course, this didn’t replace a doctor’s visit but it did help to be able to ask fellow Moms!

Best of Parenting by Parenting, LTD (iOS Version)

I’ve had the Best of Parenting app for a long time and I’ve found it so useful because the information is well researched.  It’s like a giant book of parenting issue solutions in an easy-to-use app!  Although I’ve found this app really starts addressing more problems during the toddler stages, I find myself browsing through the different categories of issues and applying their tips and ideas with my kids.

Must-Have Home Shopping Services

Going out and getting groceries is part of everyday life but you wouldn’t know how easy you had it before until now when you’re carrying your newborn everywhere with you.  I have two toddlers and grocery shopping can be such a hassle, especially if one of them didn’t take a nap!  If you’re like me, then you’ll love these two services!

We’re an Amazon kind of family and if you are too, then you definitely need this.  Get unlimited grocery delivery services from Amazon for just $10.99/month for Amazon Prime members or $14.99/month!  Its available in all major metro areas in the US and you’ll have to enter your zip code when signing up to check for availability.

Walmart Grocery App by Walmart

If you don’t have AmazonFresh available in your area, this is always a good alternative!  This way I can get my grocery shopping down in a hassle-free way by using this app.  It’s easy; you just add what you need to the cart ($30 minimum required), check out with the time you want to pick it up, they will notify you when it’s ready and you check-in on the app to show them that you’re on your way.

The Honest Company

Most of you have heard of The Honest Company and their products.  I’ve used them for both my kids and love their service and their products!  It’s definitely convenient and it helps you with trying to figure out how many diapers you’re really going to need during each diaper size so you’re not overspending and wasting diapers.  On top of that, the convenience of never running out of diapers is amazing (you only understand this if you’ve ever ran out and had to make a quick run to the store).

I recently joined Amazon Family for the 20% off diaper subscriptions but there are so many other added benefits to Amazon Family!  It provides age-based coupons, deals, and recommendations for parents that are expecting or have children ages 5 or younger.

Must-Have Services

Meal Train

I have never tried this service but I absolutely LOVE this idea.  Meal Train is a free service that allows you to organize meal giving for someone.  Simply enter the person’s information who needs the meals, set up the day(s) needed, enter their likes, dislikes, allergies, etc. and invite others to participate in the meal train.  There’s also an option to donate money to make things easier!

Amazon Home Services

Now you can order services on Amazon for your home like a handyman, furniture assembly, and even house cleaning!  House cleaning is the perfect gift for new parents so they can adjust to their new home life!  I even added it to a recent article on how to prepare for a new baby!
