But First Find a Place for Your Supplies

Before we proceed with organization and the cleaning kits themselves, we would like to say a few words on why finding a convenient place to stack your cleaning supplies is important. If you have a separate kit for your kitchen and another one for your bathroom, it would be best to plant one of the caddies under the kitchen sink and another one, somewhere in your bathroom. This might spare you time, but would also render the entire process more convenient as you will not have to carry your cleaning kit from one room to another.

Crafting Your Colorful Cleaning Kits

If you organize your cleaning supplies and tools according to their color, it would be easier for you to find the gadgets you are looking for. It would be best if you take the time to prep up separate kits for your kitchen, bathrooms and living room. Each kit should be of a different color, so you can start by crafting some bespoke labels to stick on each caddy.

The materials you will need:

  • some chipboard
  • acrylic paint of different colors
  • a pencil
  • a knife
  • scissors
  • paint brush.

Tip: You can use a cup or a plate with a smaller diameter to draw perfect circles on the chipboard.
The next step entails cutting the circles from the chipboard with a pair of scissors. If it’s difficult for you to complete the task with the scissors, you might use a utility knife instead. Once the circles are cut, you can paint them with the acrylic paint in different bright colors of your choice. Make sure you choose a different colors for each kit. For instance, one of the chipboard circles can be blue, another one red, and so on. If you wish, you can apply some stickers on the chipboard circles to make things more interesting.

Punch two holes on each side of the chipboard circles so you can secure them on the caddies using small ties. You can use some glue if you find it more convenient.

We suppose you will place a bottle of all-purpose cleaning detergent in each kit. If so, we suggest you craft several small labels of different colors to stick on the front side of each spray bottle. Keep in mind, the labels’ colors should coincide with those of the respective caddy. So if the label of your kitchen caddy is blue, the label on the bottle should also be blue. You can experiment with different hues and nuances if you wish.

Of course, you need to stock up on some other tools and materials to place in each kit. You will most likely need a brush to scrub the floor of your bathroom with. SparklingCarpets Battersea suggests you visit the local convenience store to check whether they have brushes in colors, corresponding to the labels on your caddy and spray bottles.

Another excellent idea is to place different color microfiber cloths in each caddy. Microfiber cloths are usually sold in sets of different colors, so you can choose a set with cloths in the hues you need. The same applies to absorbent sponges.

Once you organize your cleaning supplies in accordance with their colors, it would be much easier for you to find exactly what you’re looking for. Moreover, you will know where each tool or cloth belongs and will always place it in its respective caddy. Give these ideas a try, they will make your life much easier!
