It’s almost that time of the year! For my family, we have one of our babies going to school for the very first time and he’s so excited for preschool!

Our 4 year old is so excited about going to preschool but I know he will be very nervous without his baby brother there with him. They do everything together! With school starting in almost a month, my husband and I are trying several things to help our son feel confident and comfortable!
Here are a few things we are working on with our son that you might need to with your child going to preschool for the first time! #KidsGoals
- Asking to go to the bathroom: Our son has always been comfortable going to the bathroom by himself but he isn’t use to having to ask to go. We’ve been practicing this at home so that when he does go to preschool and needs the bathroom, he will know to ask instead of just disappearing or having an accident.
- Asking for help: My son is very shy and won’t ask for help even if he needs it. Not being able to do things himself and being unable to communicate his needs upsets him and causes tantrums.
As a quiet, shy little boy, I want him to feel confident and one way to help with that is giving him the freedom to pick out his clothes. The adorable Back to School Collection from Gymboree is a perfect way for our son to get excited about preschool and build his confidence!
